Description

As the sole People Operations Manager at Civis Analytics, you'll own the entire people function from compliance and payroll to recruiting and benefits. Reporting to the CFO, you'll have high autonomy to build and refine systems that support our mission-driven team. This is a hands-on role where you'll both execute and strategically improve people operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years HR experience with strength in HR operations and multi-state compliance
• Strong competency in recruiting OR payroll/benefits administration
• Comfortable operating independently with minimal oversight
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and ATS platforms

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and policy administration
• Own multi-state compliance and stay current on employment law requirements
• Administer payroll accurately and on time
• Manage benefits programs including open enrollment and vendor relationships
• Lead recruiting across functions from job posting to offer
