πΌ About This Role
You'll lead compliance strategy for BESS, power electronics, and electrical distribution systems at a company building gigawatt-scale power infrastructure for AI. You'll serve as the internal authority on North American and international standards, working cross-functionally to ensure products are certifiable and deployable. Your work directly enables clean energy solutions for leading cloud and AI companies.
π― What You'll Do
- Lead compliance strategy for BESS, DC cabinets, and inverters.
- Interpret and apply UL, CSA, IEEE, IEC, and NFPA standards.
- Act as SME on ISO/RTO regulatory requirements and grid codes.
- Define and manage certification roadmaps for new products.
- Coordinate product testing and certification with NRTLs.
π Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years experience in compliance for BESS, power electronics, or industrial electrical systems.
- 4+ years working knowledge of UL standards (e.g., UL 9540, UL 1741).
- Experience with NRTLs (e.g., UL, CSA, Intertek) and certification programs.
β¨ Nice to Have
- Experience with utility-scale or C&I BESS deployments.
- Involvement in UL 9540A fire testing or safety validation programs.
- Knowledge of utility-scale inverter compliance requirements.
