💼 About This Role

You'll lead compliance strategy for BESS, power electronics, and electrical distribution systems at a company building gigawatt-scale power infrastructure for AI. You'll serve as the internal authority on North American and international standards, working cross-functionally to ensure products are certifiable and deployable. Your work directly enables clean energy solutions for leading cloud and AI companies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead compliance strategy for BESS, DC cabinets, and inverters.
• Interpret and apply UL, CSA, IEEE, IEC, and NFPA standards.
• Act as SME on ISO/RTO regulatory requirements and grid codes.
• Define and manage certification roadmaps for new products.
• Coordinate product testing and certification with NRTLs.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in compliance for BESS, power electronics, or industrial electrical systems.
• 4+ years working knowledge of UL standards (e.g., UL 9540, UL 1741).
• Experience with NRTLs (e.g., UL, CSA, Intertek) and certification programs.

• Experience with utility-scale or C&I BESS deployments.
• Involvement in UL 9540A fire testing or safety validation programs.
• Knowledge of utility-scale inverter compliance requirements.
