Description

You will build user interfaces and backend systems for the Starship program, enabling vehicle operators to control pads and vehicles, monitoring system performance, and providing astronauts with insights into vehicle health and mission trajectory. Your work curates smooth user experiences while limiting software complexity, directly impacting human exploration on the Moon and Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Development experience in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript, including browser execution.
• Experience with vector and motion graphics (SVG, HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, CSS).

Responsibilities

• Create user interfaces using Lit Web Components (JavaScript, Typescript) that reduce cognitive load and maintain safety guardrails.
• Enable operators to manage multiple launch sites and a fleet of vehicles on the ground and in space.
• Develop tools and infrastructure to decrease software complexity and maintenance.
• Maintain high software standards and best practices across the full stack.
• Troubleshoot and develop long-term solutions for technical problems supporting all SpaceX sites.
