Description

As a New Graduate Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX's test facility in Central Texas, you will work hands-on to develop and execute tests for rocket engines and spacecraft, troubleshoot fluid and mechanical systems, and design ground support equipment. This fast-paced role involves close collaboration with technicians and engineers to solve real-world problems and accelerate SpaceX's mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or physics
• 1+ years of mechanical/fluids engineering experience via projects, research, or internships
• Graduating in 2026 or 2027 with bachelor's, master's, or PhD
• Strong understanding of fluid, structural, or mechanical systems
• Critical thinking and problem-solving in stressful, dynamic situations

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engine and component tests to evaluate hardware performance
• Own test campaigns from plan creation through data review and equipment design
• Provide daily directions to technicians for fabrication and integration of test articles
• Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition systems, wiring, and instrumentation
• Analyze, design, and build ground support systems for flight vehicles and components
