๐ผ About This Role
You'll own dexterous hand simulation for Apptronik's humanoid robot Apollo. Your work directly unblocks Mechanical Design, Controls, and Hardware teams by making simulation a reliable predictor of physical hand behavior. This high-autonomy role offers the opportunity to define simulation standards from scratch.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Model and tune contact parameters against real hardware measurements
- Design and execute systematic sim-to-real validation workflows
- Build accurate models of hand sensing and actuation systems in simulation
- Design evaluation environments and dexterity benchmarks in Isaac Sim
๐ Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on robotic simulation experience (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff)
- Experience with robotic hands or high-DOF manipulators
- Demonstrated experience with contact-rich simulation
- Strong Python skills and solid fundamentals in rigid body dynamics
โจ Nice to Have
- Deep working knowledge of Isaac Sim or MuJoCo
- Familiarity with tactile sensing or F/T sensor integration in simulation
- USD proficiency
