Description

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced vertical transport systems including high-rise traction elevators and rack-and-pinion lifts at a mission-critical aerospace facility. You will lead modernization projects, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and train junior personnel in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 10+ years experience as a licensed elevator mechanic with traction and rack-and-pinion experience
• Current state elevator mechanic license or certification
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and work in tight elevated spaces
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-rise traction elevators and rack-and-pinion lifts
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and schematics
• Conduct scheduled inspections in compliance with ASME A17.1/CSA B44 and state codes
• Lead elevator modernization projects and major repairs
• Train and mentor junior elevator personnel and provide safety briefings
