Description

You will drive system-level architecture and integration for our humanoid robot platform, taking ownership of requirements, interfaces, and cross-functional integration while maintaining speed of execution in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• Hands-on technical contributor comfortable with ambiguity and systems thinking
• Experience applying structured engineering methods in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment
• Ability to participate in design reviews, integration efforts, and root cause analysis
• Proven track record of driving trade studies focusing on simplicity, performance, cost, and speed
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams

Responsibilities

• Define and document system and subsystem architectures spanning mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software domains
• Own software subsystem-level requirements through full lifecycle: writing, decomposing, validating, tracking
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, perform functional safety analysis (hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety case)
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs), resolve integration issues proactively
• Identify inefficiencies through field data analysis and implement improvements for reliability and performance
