Description

You will oversee NGS lab operations and a team of sequencing staff, managing Illumina and PacBio workflows, optimizing throughput, and ensuring quality while mentoring team members. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with leadership to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Requirements

• BS/BA in biological science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years related experience, 2+ years in supervisory role
• Hands-on experience with Illumina and PacBio NGS platforms
• Proficiency in nucleic acid techniques
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

• Manage daily scheduling and oversight of NGS team
• Oversee Illumina (NovaSeq X, 6000, MiSeq i100) and PacBio (Sequel, Revio) operations
• Monitor run performance metrics and troubleshoot issues
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reduce errors
• Serve as primary contact for sequencing questions and workflow decisions
