💼 About This Role

You'll lead application, cloud, and AI security for Sierra's conversational AI platform, conducting threat modeling and building security primitives. You'll partner with engineering and product to embed security across the SDLC, enabling innovation while protecting customer data. This role offers the chance to shape security at a fast-growing AI startup founded by Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead security for platform including application, cloud, network, and AI agent security.
• Perform secure design reviews, threat modeling, and build security primitives.
• Implement automation and tooling in CI/CD pipelines for scans and compliance checks.
• Conduct audits of cloud environment and IAM configurations.
• Present security posture to enterprise clients and address regulatory concerns.

📋 Requirements

• Broad security expertise in web application security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and networking.
• Hands-on coding and DevOps skills with production software, scripting, and automation tools.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities.
• Strong communication to explain risk trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience securing AI systems with understanding of LLM and Agentic AI risks.
• Cloud infrastructure security with robust policies and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Building custom security tools leveraging AI/ML for detection or monitoring.
