Description

You will lead the design, administration, and optimization of enterprise databases and cloud environments, driving modernization initiatives and ensuring security, governance, and scalability. You will serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues, mentor team members, and partner with IT leadership on technology roadmaps and cloud strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise database administration (SQL Server, Azure SQL, or cloud-native databases)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments
• Strong background in performance tuning, HA/DR design, query optimization, and capacity planning
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation)

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize SQL Server, Azure SQL, and cloud-native database platforms
• Lead complex database upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, capacity planning, and HA/DR initiatives
• Manage and optimize Azure and/or AWS environments including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security
• Build automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation
• Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and cloud cost optimization practices
