Description

You will design and implement flight control algorithms for electric VTOL aircraft, work cross-functionally, build simulations, and collaborate with flight test teams to safely evaluate vehicle capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, optimization, and control theory
• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years experience, or MS with 3+ years
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience verifying GNC systems in simulation and on hardware
• Experience with aircraft or rotorcraft performance and handling qualities

Responsibilities

• Design and implement flight control algorithms for electric VTOL aircraft
• Build simulations to verify and validate system requirements
• Analyze flight data to improve models
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to decompose requirements
• Work with Flight Test team to design safe vehicle evaluation tests
