Description

You will prepare and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates for transportation projects, while mentoring technical staff. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to develop detailed designs of roadways and support project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
• Experience working with Local and State public agency clients
• Proficient with ORD design software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Kansas and/or Missouri Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred)
• Project experience in transportation engineering design (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design
• Collaborating with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs
• Compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
• Supporting studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions
• Working with disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality deliverables
• Managing small projects, project tasks, and assisting Project Managers in overall large project delivery
• Manage and maintain project documentation
