💼 About This Role

You'll design and build core cloud and geospatial systems that power autonomous drone operations at scale. You'll own features end-to-end from concept to deployment, collaborating across autonomy, product, and field teams to shape Skydio's long-term platform architecture.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and expand Skydio Cloud's core data model and API for drones and docks
• Build customer-facing web app features like fleet health and asset management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features
• Design secure, efficient, scalable software for real-time data from drone fleets

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python and Go
• Experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience building and delivering scalable cloud applications

✨ Nice to Have

• Direct experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Temporal, or ThreeJS
• Experience with geospatial data and mapping tools like Mapbox, Cesium, or PostGIS
• Experience with photogrammetry, scanning, or 3D reconstruction pipelines
