Description
You will support technical analyses for radio frequency interference and satellite spectrum coordination, model Starlink's operational topology, and provide strategic regulatory recommendations. Your work will help maximize Starlink's global impact by ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting the service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
- 5+ years of research, design, development, or regulatory experience in RF and/or antenna domain
- Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++ or other tools for modeling and analyzing RF systems
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines
Responsibilities
- Support technical analyses for radio frequency interference and satellite spectrum coordination
- Model Starlink and other non-geostationary satellite operational topology and hardware
- Simulate scenarios considering regulatory constraints, geographic constraints, RF link budgets, constellation growth, customer growth, and coordination strategies
- Analyze network and user experience impacts from simulation results and make recommendations on satellite policy and coordination strategy
- Provide strategic regulatory recommendations and advocacy support to business development efforts
