💼 About This Role

You'll design end-to-end encryption protocols and build privacy features for ChatGPT and future consumer devices at OpenAI. Your work will directly impact user data security through client-side encryption, HSMs, and trusted execution environments.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement encrypted storage, sync, and recovery systems
• Build authentication and encryption features for ChatGPT and devices
• Develop and maintain hardware security module (HSM) infrastructure
• Operate and scale systems with on-call rotation

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience designing end-to-end encryption protocols
• Experience with HSM infrastructure under strict security requirements
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building intuitive authentication experiences
• Experience with private inference and computing infrastructure
• Familiarity with Labyrinth or Juicebox systems
