You will analyze and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database, work on query optimization and low-level SIMD operations, collaborate with support and core teams, and engage with the open-source community to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Solid professional software development experience in C++
• Strong knowledge in database internals and design
• Experience in performance engineering
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with open-source communities

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database
• Extend and add performance tests based on real-world or synthetic datasets
• Serve as a resource for Support Engineering to debug advanced performance issues
• Collaborate with core teams to assess impact of new features on performance
• Engage with the open-source community: resolve issues, review PRs, answer questions
