💼 About This Role

You'll join Twist Bioscience's R&D team to support protein- and enzyme-based platform development for next-generation molecular biology applications. You'll play a key role in building and scaling robust protein production workflows from expression to characterization. This role offers hands-on work in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge DNA synthesis technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and execute protein expression and purification experiments for enzyme engineering programs.
• Develop and scale protein expression systems across multiple hosts (E. coli, Pichia, Bacillus).
• Perform FPLC purification using affinity, ion exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography.
• Characterize proteins via SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, analytical SEC, and activity assays.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• 1-3+ years of hands-on experience with protein expression and purification workflows.
• Experience with FPLC-based purification (IMAC, IEX, SEC).
• Proficiency in SDS-PAGE and Western blotting.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with DNA assembly methods (Golden Gate, Gibson assembly).
• Familiarity with high-throughput or automated protein production workflows.
• Experience with NGS library preparation and sequencing platforms.
