Join Care.com as an Architect to design and build high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems for our fulfillment platform. You'll work with modern technologies like Go, Java, Kafka, and AWS, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver new features.

Requirements

• 10+ years professional engineering experience
• 8+ years designing high-volume distributed systems with Java or Go
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Microservices architecture and AWS (Lambdas, DynamoDB, Kubernetes/Istio)
• Experience as a team lead or system architect for large-scale production projects

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems using Go, Java, AWS, and Kafka
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Lead cross-functional efforts and shape development processes
• Create architecture documents, project timelines, and user stories
• Mentor and guide team members' professional development
