Description

You will establish and direct a comprehensive flight test organisation, defining infrastructure, personnel, and partnerships to execute safe and efficient flight test operations across the entire product lifecycle. Your work ensures Helsing's defence AI capabilities are thoroughly validated and ready for deployment.

Requirements

• At least 10 years' experience in test operations and directing multidisciplinary teams in aerospace or defence
• Comprehensive technical understanding of complex aerospace, electrical, or software engineering principles
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory, quality, and safety standards for rigorous flight testing
• Proven project management and organisational skills with ability to oversee complex concurrent programmes
• Track record of establishing infrastructure, procedures, and tools for safe and successful flight testing

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and empower a multidisciplinary team of engineers and pilots for complex flight operations
• Design and implement comprehensive flight test plans addressing engineering requirements across the product spectrum
• Manage budget, resource allocation, and scheduling for flight test campaigns
• Direct safe execution of all flight test operations, including detailed preparations, test procedures, and risk management
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships with facilities, airfields, service providers, and component suppliers
