Description

You will support the development of additive manufacturing and composite materials for the Neutron vehicle and Archimedes engines. Your work involves preparing, testing, and certifying metallurgical tests, operating lab equipment, and maintaining quality standards to enable the success of a reusable launch vehicle.

Requirements

• 2+ years of metallurgical lab experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with drawings, testing specs, hand tools, bandsaw
• Working knowledge of alloys (Ni, Cu, Ti)
• Experience testing carbon composite materials

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, evaluate, and certify metallurgical tests per specifications
• Operate testing equipment (Instron, metallography, XRF, SEM, hardness)
• Check test samples with precision measuring equipment
• Interface with engineering to coordinate testing
• Maintain lab database and ensure accurate test records
