💼 About This Role

You'll build critical credit decisioning systems for Brex's intelligent finance platform. Your work will manage billions in credit exposure through real-time data pipelines and ML-powered models. You'll own the full stack from bank integrations to customer-facing tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain critical financial infrastructure including bank connections and data pipelines
• Develop and optimize the underwriting engine for sub-second credit decisions
• Implement customer-facing features for credit limit management in React/TypeScript
• Design internal tooling for Operations and Portfolio Management teams

📋 Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time software engineering experience with backend focus
• 1+ year in financial systems, payments, underwriting, or regulated industries
• Proficiency in backend technologies (Kotlin, Java, Typescript) and our stack
• Experience architecting and scaling production systems in data-intensive domains

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with ML models in production (PD models, affordability frameworks)
• Comfort with event streaming (e.g., Kafka) and distributed systems
