Description

You will architect and build the high-performance core of Okta's non-human identity platform, focusing on low-latency secrets management and massive scale machine-to-machine authentication. Collaborate with principal engineers to define technical strategy and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years professional software engineering experience, backend or systems-level
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or equivalent practical experience
• Deep expertise in multi-platform Go and concurrent applications
• Experience with distributed systems, secure systems (authn/authz, TLS, PKI)
• Deep expertise in distributed storage systems (Postgres, replication, backup/restore)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput secrets engine for non-human identities
• Write highly concurrent, performance-critical code for millions of auth requests
• Define long-term technical roadmap for scalability and performance
• Mentor junior engineers to advance their SDLC expertise
• Participate in rotational on-call activities with SRE and product development
