💼 About This Role

You'll take ownership of the payments pipeline, billing engine, and integration layer for a venture-backed internet infrastructure network building Africa's backbone. You'll work directly with the CTO and a small engineering team to ship production systems that handle real financial transactions for ISP partners. This is the most senior IC role on the team, requiring architectural decisions and production code that powers real money.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement revenue split engine with per-partner configuration
• Build and maintain billing lifecycle including subscription and automated renewals
• Develop integration adapters for ISP billing systems such as Splynx
• Architect service boundaries, event contracts, and data model evolution

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years professional software engineering with 3+ years in backend financial systems
• Deep TypeScript/Node.js expertise and ability to design NestJS microservices
• Production experience with payment gateway integrations (M-Pesa, Stripe, Adyen)
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design for financial data and migration writing

• Experience with ISP billing systems, RADIUS protocols, or telecommunications platforms
• Track record of migrating monolithic systems to microservices
