💼 About This Role

You'll lead Wayve's Controls team, responsible for delivering robust real-world vehicle motion across product platforms. You'll own the technical roadmap and interface between the Wayve AI Driver, trajectory generation, and control systems. This role combines technical leadership with team development at the intersection of control and AI.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and develop the Motion Controls team, providing people leadership and technical direction.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and delivery across short and long term horizons.
• Own the interface between the Wayve AI Driver, trajectory generation, and control.
• Shape future direction and growth of the team addressing emerging challenges.

📋 Requirements

• Experience managing or leading engineers.
• Experience leading technical direction for autonomy or robotics systems, ideally in autonomous vehicles.
• Expertise in controls, trajectory generation, or motion planning.
• Experience working on production systems that incorporate machine learning models.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with MPC or optimal control methods.
• Experience with automotive-grade software development or ISO26262.
• Experience with Python and C++ in production robotics systems.
