You'll own the technical direction of Stripe's Identity product, building the world's most trusted store of verified identities. You'll architect core systems like the Identity Store, headless verification platform, and advanced fraud detection pipeline. This role sits at the frontier of adversarial AI and deepfake defense.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define architecture for Identity's core systems
• Lead 0-1 platform development of Identity Store and fraud detection pipeline
• Drive cross-functional alignment with ML, product, legal, and engineering
• Set engineering standards and mentor senior engineers

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years in strategic technical leadership role
• Experience building API design, abstractions, or client libraries
• Proven track record of delivering pragmatic solutions

• Experience with identity verification or fraud detection systems
• Familiarity with ML systems in production
• Prior experience with 0-1 product builds
