๐ผ About This Role
You'll develop and integrate core path planning capabilities for aerial platforms at a $15B autonomous vehicle company. Your work spans Group 1-5 UAVs, maritime vessels, and fighter aircraft. You'll collaborate with DoD experts and third-party vendors to bring autonomy algorithms to real systems.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Write software for real autonomous aircraft systems including fighter aircraft and UAVs
- Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures for military missions
- Collaborate with DoD domain experts and UAS vendors on integration
๐ Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in autonomous vehicle motion planning or robotics
- Experience in 3D+ path planning using sampling-based methods like RRT*
- Experience in C++ or Python developing autonomy algorithms
- Experience with git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab
โจ Nice to Have
- Experience with UAS GNC/navigation systems such as PX4 and Ardupilot
- Data visualization and debugging tools for autonomy control
- Experience with Docker and Linux-based operating systems
