Description
You will operate heavy equipment and manage a small crew to complete earthwork projects such as grading, excavating, and installing stormwater management facilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant heavy equipment operating experience
- Ability to efficiently operate mini excavators, bobcats, and preferably full-sized excavators, loaders, and dozers
- Must communicate directly with clients and manage crew members
- Reliable transportation and valid Driver's License
- Physically fit for manual labor including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, mini excavators, and bobcats
- Manage a small crew on a daily basis
- Install erosion control measures such as silt fence
- Excavate and build bioretention facilities, rain gardens, ponds, and sediment basins
- Shoot grades and read cut sheets for stakeout, fine grading, and underdrain installation
