💼 About This Role

You'll design and build backend platform systems that power Arbiter's connections to the outside world for reliable data exchange in healthcare. You'll own critical infrastructure from API design to data pipelines, working with cross-functional teams to ship production-grade systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate backend services for core platform reliability
• Build robust integrations with third-party systems like EHRs and cloud APIs
• Design high-scale APIs (REST, gRPC, webhooks) and manage complex data flows
• Maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure data quality across systems

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience building production backend systems
• Experience with large-scale Python codebases
• Deep understanding of API design patterns and versioning
• Experience building reusable abstraction layers for multi-customer integrations

✨ Nice to Have

• Healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI)
• Database performance tuning with PostgreSQL
• Startup or early-stage experience
