You'll lead the development of standards and platforms for a dynamic structural biology database, working at the intersection of structural biology, data science, and community standards. Your core impact will be building an ensemble-aware, living database that makes dynamic structural biology data as accessible and trustworthy as the PDB. This role stands out for operating at a high-velocity, startup-like research foundation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead conceptual design of ensemble-aware database architecture
• Identify and prioritize technical challenges from data to query interfaces
• Direct infrastructure enabling continuous model improvement with provenance
• Oversee ensemble-aware validation frameworks for fit-to-data and uncertainty

📋 Requirements

• Ph.D. in structural biology, biophysics, computational biology, or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in structural biology methods
• Deep understanding of structural heterogeneity and dynamics in biomolecular systems
• Experience with data standards, metadata frameworks, or scientific database development

• Experience with PDB, EMDB, BMRB, or other structural biology databases
• Knowledge of validation methods for experimental and computational structural data
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and ML-ready data formats
