Description

You will take full engineering ownership of Amper, JetBrains' next-generation build tool for the JVM and Kotlin ecosystem. You'll lead the team, define the product strategy, and deliver features from IDE integration to incremental compilation, shaping how JVM applications are built.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with at least 5 years of Java/Kotlin development experience
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Strong understanding of build systems
• Experience in hiring, people/team, and project management
• Preference for experience in developer tools, compilers, programming languages, or open source

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership of the Amper team
• Evaluate design and implementation options, solving them with the team from IDE starters to incremental compilation
• Create, test, and implement go-to-market strategy for Amper
