Description

You will prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural glass and glazing projects by evaluating bid specifications and drawings, working with project teams, and using estimating software. Your work contributes to shaping how people live, work, and play in major construction projects across the country.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience estimating mid-size and larger glazing projects from architectural drawings
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with computer estimating programs for aluminum glazing systems
• Strong understanding of metal systems and infill options
• Strong geometry math skills and organizational ability

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to obtain required data for successful bids
• Create stock length cost proposals using price book and computer software
• Provide detailed estimates to customers in a timely manner
• Follow up on estimates and provide feedback on market pricing levels
• Maintain detailed records of bid documents and project correspondence
