💼 About This Role

You'll partner with engineering to design and deploy ML/AI tools for issue discovery and quality assurance in autonomous driving. Your work will directly support Waymo's expansion into new cities and vehicle platforms. This role offers the chance to shape AI-driven safety operations at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and deploy ML and Gen-AI models for issue discovery and triage
• Proactively identify emerging on-road issues using AI-powered insights
• Define policies and SOPs integrating AI tools into vendor workflows
• Implement quality control for human and AI-generated outputs

📋 Requirements

• BS/BA degree and 4 years in AV Software Quality Operations
• Experience with ML testing and validation including dataset QA and bias detection
• Ability to quickly learn and use proprietary tools
• Basic SQL querying and PLX coding experience

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with offshore teams or multiple local operations hubs
• Competency in LLM / transformer models or ML for robotics
• Self-motivated with basic task planning and time management skills
