💼 About This Role

You'll lead the Catalog Enrichment team building an AI-native platform that creates and maintains product attributes for tens of millions of items. Your work directly powers search, recommendations, and advertising across Instacart's marketplace.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building the catalog enrichment platform.
• Define technical roadmap balancing new investments with reliability and developer experience.
• Build AI-native enrichment pipelines blending LLMs, classical ML, and human review.
• Own ML-facing catalog data layer with policy controls for governance and compliance.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering experience.
• 2+ years managing engineers as a people leader.
• Experience leading teams building production data or ML platforms (batch + streaming).
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and workflow orchestration.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with catalog or commerce data platforms at scale.
• Hands-on with Temporal, Airflow, or Flink in production.
• Experience shipping applied AI/ML features in production.
