💼 About This Role

You'll join DeepL's GTM Legal team as the dedicated legal presence in Japan, supporting commercial operations across APAC. You'll negotiate complex B2B agreements and advise on commercial legal matters in one of our fastest-growing markets. This role offers the chance to shape legal processes in a global AI company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Review and negotiate SaaS, MSA, and DPAs with B2B customers.
• Provide commercial legal advice to the GTM team.
• Improve internal processes and maintain GTM legal templates.
• Draft training materials and guidelines for GTM team and stakeholders.

📋 Requirements

• At least 3 years in-house commercial legal experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate B2B contracts.
• Strong Japanese language skills for client engagement.
• Solid English proficiency for global templates and team collaboration.

• Experience with technology or software contracts (SaaS, licensing, API).
• Familiarity with data protection frameworks in APJ markets.
