💼 About This Role

You'll serve as the senior HR leader across BuzzFeed Studios, managing the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition to total rewards. You'll partner with production leadership on workforce management and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements. This role spans both strategic architecture and hands-on operations in a creative, fast-paced environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise leaders on performance, conflict resolution, org design, and headcount planning.
• Lead HR investigations and oversee employment policy development.
• Manage the contingent workforce including freelancers and project-based talent.
• Own end-to-end recruiting across all departments from job description to offer.
• Process semi-monthly payroll and manage annual benefits strategy.

📋 Requirements

• Experience as a senior HR leader in a studio or production environment.
• Deep knowledge of guild and union relations (SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA, IATSE, Teamsters).
• Expertise in employment law compliance across federal, state, and local levels.
• End-to-end recruiting experience including executive-level roles.
