Description

You will assist our transportation engineering team on diverse projects involving design, permitting, and construction administration. Work includes both field investigations and office-based design support using GPS, AutoCAD, and GIS software. This internship is designed to develop your professional skills in a fast-paced consulting environment focused on safety and complete streets.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Bachelor's program in Civil or Transportation Engineering
• Local to Providence, RI or able to work there for the summer
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in AutoCAD and GIS (Esri) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, permitting, and construction administration
• Perform field investigations and engineering estimates
• Conduct design work and construction observations
• Use GPS and CAD software for project tasks
• Support project team with various engineering activities
