Description

Provide companionship and support for hospice patients and their families in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, and Washington counties in Vermont. You will help ensure clients come first, with opportunities for patient visits, legacy projects, pet therapy, virtual projects, office help, gardening, bereavement support, and vigil companionship.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Criminal background check completed per state requirements
• Meet all state requirements for volunteers where applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide patient companionship and support
• Assist with legacy projects (arts, cooking, music)
• Participate in activities at senior living facilities
• Conduct virtual projects from home or around town
• Support bereavement and vigil companionship
