You'll lead the design of a data lakehouse platform from scratch for a financial services client, owning architecture and technology decisions. Your work will transform disparate spreadsheets into a governed, scalable analytical foundation. This role offers full autonomy without on-client technical oversight.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture from scratch
• Evaluate and recommend cloud data platforms (Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Define data governance framework including cataloging and lineage
• Establish technical standards for modeling and ETL/ELT patterns

📋 Requirements

• Data Architecture experience in cloud environments
• Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) expertise
• Microsoft Azure and Fabric experience
• Unity Catalog for data cataloging and lineage

✨ Nice to Have

• Microsoft Purview knowledge
• Data modeling (dimensional, Data Vault 2.0)
• Microsoft certifications (DP-700, DP-203)
