Description

You will develop core software for metal 3D printing systems that produce rocket engine components. Your work spans controls, data acquisition, build logic, infrastructure, and in-situ monitoring, directly enabling advanced manufacturing at SpaceX.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or STEM + 5 years software dev experience (or 8+ years without degree)
• 5+ years writing production code in C++
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with QT, VTK, Boost, CUDA, CMake (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop software for a production-scale metal 3D printing system
• Collaborate with automation and controls engineers on motion/control systems
• Work with manufacturing and engine design engineers to improve printed hardware
• Develop control software and algorithms for lasing and control systems
• Maintain high software standards including design, code, and test reviews
