💼 About This Role

You'll optimize SimpliSafe's wireless communications systems for IoT devices, focusing on performance, resilience, and power efficiency. You'll debug and optimize the full networking stack from PHY to application. This role offers deep cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, QA, and cloud teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity and reliability issues across the full stack.
• Implement and optimize low power wireless and TCP/IP protocols for embedded constraints.
• Conduct in-depth performance analysis and identify bottlenecks in wireless networking stacks.
• Perform root cause analysis of intermittent networking issues using advanced debugging tools.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware development with a focus on wireless networking.
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of the entire TCP/IP networking stack (Layers 2-7) and WiFi protocols.
• Hands-on experience with FreeRTOS and Linux in embedded systems.

• Experience with Matter/Thread networking a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS IoT) and their connectivity requirements.
