💼 About This Role

You'll build and scale Nectar's AI-native social operating system, working across the full stack to ingest social data and power product interfaces. Your core impact will be shaping architectural decisions and establishing engineering practices as the platform grows. You'll collaborate with ex-Meta product and engineering leaders and work with brands like OLIPOP, Hatch, and K18.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build backend systems for ingesting and processing social data
• Build AI-powered product experiences like conversation inboxes and AI-suggested replies
• Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across backend and data pipelines
• Write architecture documents and guide infrastructure, tooling, and frontend decisions

📋 Requirements

• Strong engineering experience designing, building, and operating production systems
• Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architecture
• Experience building reliable data pipelines on top of external APIs
• Experience mentoring engineers and shaping engineering culture

• Experience with high-scale data pipelines or real-time data processing
• Experience building AI-powered user interfaces or LLM-integrated features
• Previous experience at an early-stage or rapidly scaling startup
