Description

You will build and maintain a portfolio of Ubuntu-based container images, develop CI/CD automation, and contribute to container technologies and open-source projects. This role offers the chance to shape a new container-centric Ubuntu community and work with a globally distributed team.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse CI)
• Familiar with GitOps principles and workflows
• Experience building container images and using container management tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Python and Linux systems administration

Responsibilities

• Build robust, scalable container images
• Implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and publishing container images
• Write tools and tests for security compliance and cloud-native compatibility
• Participate in code and architectural reviews
• Engage with the open-source community as a subject-matter expert
