Description

In this role, you will analyze, design, and build fluid and mechanical systems for testing rocket engines and vehicles. You'll take cradle-to-grave ownership of projects, work hands-on with technicians to build your designs, and troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced environment. Your work directly supports the SpaceX mission to enable human life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field
• 1+ years of hands-on design or build experience
• Strong understanding of fluid, structural, or mechanical systems
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted and perform physical tasks like kneeling, crouching, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and build systems for testing flight vehicles, rocket engines, and components
• Own engineering projects from design review through procurement and construction
• Work with technicians to build designs and fix real-world problems
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment to achieve test objectives
• Evaluate complex engineering needs and develop solutions for test programs
