Description
You will own object perception performance on the robot end-to-end, from sensor inputs to downstream planning, enabling robust manipulation in real customer environments. You'll work hands-on with real robots, integrate learned models with classical approaches, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to build reliable perception systems.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Robotics or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience building object perception systems for real robotic platforms
- Experience across learned models and classical perception approaches
- Strong experience writing production-quality C++ and Python code
- Hands-on experience with monocular/stereo/RGB-D vision and perception libraries (OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, ROS perception)
Responsibilities
- Own object perception performance on the robot from sensors through runtime behavior integration
- Design, implement, and deploy perception pipelines for manipulation (object pose estimation, depth reasoning, scene understanding)
- Work hands-on with real robots to debug, tune, and harden perception systems under real-world variability
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to evaluate, integrate, train, and fine-tune perception models
- Define interfaces and contracts between perception, behaviors, and task planning for reliable execution
