Description

As a Senior Thermal Engineer on the Starship team, you will own the thermal design of spacecraft and launch vehicles from initial analysis through validation with test and flight data. You will automate workflows, pursue performance improvements, and produce quality documentation to support a fully reusable transportation system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years professional experience with engineering simulation software such as MATLAB
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Responsibilities

• Own thermal design of spacecraft and hardware from analysis to validation
• Automate thermal analysis workflows to reduce engineering investment
• Pursue performance and robustness improvements
• Seek operational simplicity and reduce burden on other groups
• Produce quality documentation to reduce miss-rate and improve efficiency
