💼 About This Role

You'll join DREAM's in-house food service team to produce and serve daily meals for students and staff, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You'll work closely with the Brigaid Program Chef to execute a best-in-class nutrition program. This role supports a mission-driven charter school with a focus on community engagement.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Produce and serve daily meals using NSLP-compliant recipes.
• Receive and store deliveries; assist with monthly inventory.
• Maintain food safety logs and HACCP documentation.
• Assist with food production for special events.

📋 Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional cooking experience.
• Valid NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate or ability to obtain.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and use basic math for prep quantities.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with USDA NSLP or CACFP standards.
• Experience working in a school or community food program.
• Bilingual skills.
