Description

As a Systems Engineer on the Space team, you'll integrate EO payloads onto spacecraft from concept through on-orbit operations. You'll perform hands-on characterization and calibration of optical payloads in the lab, derive requirements, and collaborate across teams to deliver advanced space capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Systems Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with assembly, integration and test of space payload flight hardware
• Deep understanding of professional optical test equipment and methodologies
• Experience with advanced payload analyses and laboratory measurements
• Hands-on experience characterizing and calibrating optical payloads

Responsibilities

• Perform concept designs of active and passive EO payloads
• Derive system and unit level requirements
• Conduct hands-on characterization and calibration of flight hardware
• Author Interface Control Documents covering payload integration
• Define on-orbit calibration sequences and provide real-time support
