💼 About This Role

You'll develop computational approaches for DNA sequence modelling and functional genomics to support target discovery at a pioneering TechBio company. You will build sequence-to-function models including variant effect prediction and regulatory activity modelling, directly impacting drug discovery. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and have access to state-of-the-art wet and dry labs in central London.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop computational methods for DNA sequence and regulatory element modelling
• Build models for variant effect prediction and regulatory activity
• Integrate DNA features with transcriptomic and perturbational datasets
• Partner with experimental and ML researchers to validate hypotheses

📋 Requirements

• PhD in genomics, computational biology, or related discipline
• Post-PhD experience in industry or biotech/pharma
• Experience with DNA language models or transformer-based sequence models
• High proficiency in Python and working in HPC environments

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with single-cell transcriptomics or patient-derived datasets
• Experience with statistical fine-mapping and colocalisation analysis
• Background in algorithm development or statistical modelling
