πΌ About This Role
You'll support the assembly, integration, and testing of satellite mechanism subsystems including deployment systems, actuators, and hinges. Your work will be critical in building the world's first global cellular broadband network from space. This role offers hands-on experience with flight hardware in a cleanroom environment.
π― What You'll Do
- Perform precision assembly and integration of satellite mechanism subsystems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring schematics, and assembly procedures.
- Install and route electrical harnesses, connectors, and sensors within tight tolerances.
- Execute functional, environmental, and acceptance testing (deployment, torque, limit switch).
π Requirements
- Associate degree or technical certificate in electromechanical technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of experience in precision mechanical assembly and/or electrical integration.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and basic electrical test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester).
β¨ Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace or high-reliability hardware environments.
- Familiarity with satellite mechanisms (deployment systems, HDRMs, spring-driven systems).
- Soldering, crimping, and harness fabrication experience (IPC standards preferred).
