💼 About This Role

You'll own and scale the semantic and presentation layers of our data platform at Genius Sports, building high-quality data models and defining standardized metrics. Your work will directly influence how data is consumed across Product, Commercial, Finance, and Operations, enabling consistent, self-service analytics that drive revenue and efficiency. This role elevates data from a reporting function to a core business enabler.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain core data models and metrics
• Build scalable data models in dbt on Snowflake
• Enable self-service analytics with BI tools
• Partner with business teams to define impactful metrics

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering
• Experience with modern cloud data stack (Snowflake preferred)
• Deep knowledge of dimensional modeling and semantic layer design
• Proven ability to translate business questions into reusable data models

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt Cloud, Databricks, or Fivetran
• Background in data product thinking
